Milestone missed

This Product Idea didn’t make it to the next milestone in time.

This is one of the most iconic turntables ever build. Technics manufactured this piece of history from 1972 to 2010 and is well known within the DJ community. Producers, DJs & MCs refer to the Technics turntable as the "Tec 12's", "Wheels of Steel" and the "Ones & Twos". Since 1972, more than 3 million units have been sold. It is widely regarded as one of the most durable and reliable turntables ever produced.

I used to use two of these beauties to mix and scratch, not professionally as DJ, but more like a hobby. I got these as a present when I became 16. 25 Years later I still have one of them (and it is working perfectly).

A couple of months back, I decided to try to create this icon in the equally iconic Lego bricks. I used LDD and rendered the image, because I don't have all the bricks yet available to me and I didn't want to wait any longer posting it on Ideas.

The model is 32 studs wide, approx 24 studs deep and counts 854 bricks. This particular model can't fit a 7" record, but if this model ever becomes a real model, I would prefer to change the scale a little bit, so the plateau actually would fit a 7" record. This would make it even more real! The arm was a little bit of a challenge. I wanted this to have a more solid look, but the very specific shape was difficult to recreate with the pieces I had available in LDD.

Hopefully you like this model as much as I do and support me to reach the 10.000 votes!
