Home to Wrexham A.F.C.
The Racecourse, or Cae Ras in Welsh, is the world's oldest international football stadium, located in Wrexham, Wales. Built in 1807, it hosted its first football match in 1864. In recent years, Wrexham and the stadium have captured global attention thanks to the TV show Welcome to Wrexham. Like many others, I fell in love with not just the team and their underdog story, but also the town, its people, and the deep-rooted passion they all share for their club, day in and day out.
More than Just a Football Club
Wrexham A.F.C. and the community have provided more support than they could ever know over the past few years. They helped me through some of the darkest days of my life, playing a vital role in my ability to face each day. I wanted to express my love and appreciation for the incredible people and fans of this remarkable community and team.
Features
When I set out to create the Cae Ras model, I aimed to make it fit seamlessly with other stadiums already in production by LEGO, while also allowing it to stand out and showcase its rich history and bright future. I achieved this by representing the past, present, and future on the fourth side of the stadium.

The Past: The old Kop, a standing-room-only section, was recently demolished to make way for a new and improved stand.

The Present: The fourth wall features a temporary metal scaffolding stand.

The Future: A new state-of-the-art grandstand, designed to honor the history and contributions of the coal mining industry.
Each end of the stadium can be created and displayed, featuring easy-to-swap connections that allow you to showcase the model in whatever way you prefer.

Fun Fact:
Lego Distribution and brick manufacture commenced at Wrexham in 1962. If you have an old LEGO set that says ‘Made in Great Britain’ on the box, it was made and packed by hand on Wrexham Industrial Estate.
