Every Breath You Take

After a wild journey full of horrors and near defeat, the kids finally catch a break from their battle with The Upside Down and all its inhabitants. They attend the Hawkins Middle Snow Ball and get to experience something normal for a change. Their minds at ease, with Eleven sealing The Gate, all is well. Unbeknownst to them, The Mind Flayer is still lurking and planning a new assault on their dimension. It is watching, waiting for it's next opportunity to strike.

I chose to create this scene because it is iconic in the fact that it is the end note of Season Two and the last time we have seen the kids. When Season Two ended, and we were left to speculate what was in store for the gang next, I imagined something along the lines of this. The Mind Flayer disrupting the dance and catching the kids completely off guard, leading to a full on take over from The Upside Down. However, now that we have trailers for Season Three it is clear that is not the case.
