Feathers of Justice: The Chicken vs. The Egg Trial
Prosecutor Shellcroft ask the witness, “What say you Mr. Plowman? What came first, the Chicken or the Egg?” Plowman replies, “I believe that without eggs, there would not be a chicken and that without chickens there would be no eggs…”
Shellcroft appears pleased, “Your Honor, the evidence is clear. Evolutionary science suggests that the first chicken came from an egg. Therefore, the egg did come first!” Mr. Roostington counters, “Objection! If an egg was laid, you can surmise that the chicken came first.”
Judge Bricksworth: “Members of the jury your role is to settle history’s greatest debate.” Mushroom Sprite stands up “Your honor, the arguments were compelling; however, we are at an impasse.” The courtroom descends into chaos. Bricksworth strikes his gavel. “Order in the court!
Sadly, since the jurors have reached a stalemate. This court finds the debate unscramble-able. Case is dismissed.” The courtroom erupts in protest, mostly clucks. 🐔🥚
