Sunrise Over a River

The scene depicts a sunrise over a slow flowing river. A narrow path leads by the Zen garden into a small gazebo where tea is ready to be served. All around nature wakes up for the day. Waves gently form on the otherwise undisturbed water surface and paper boats are flowing with the current.

The color palette I chose consists mostly of turquoise, coral, tan and dark green.  

It has been inspired by the subtle colors in the art of Utagawa Hiroshige, depicting Japanese landscape.
