Vintage Transportation: Japan Trip
To get around in 19th Century Japan, one could opt for the (then) modern Jinrikisha (which gave us the word "rickshaw"), or ride in the very classical Norimono (litterally "riding thing", or palanquin). No better way to go down the Tôkaidô from Tokyo to Kyoto, and admire the majestic sight of Mount Fuji...
