Vintage Transportaion: 2-10-2 Steam Train
A 2-10-2 Steam train! These locomotives were used by the railroad company Santa-Fe during the early 1900's to help trains on grades. 2-10-2 means that it has 2 wheels in the front of the locomotive followed by 10 driving wheels and lastly 2 more wheels trailing. My locomotive is numbered #1510. When I think of vintage transportation I think of America's big steam engines hauling huge freight trains. The train features an extremely detailed cab complete with pressure gauges, whistle and lastly a huge firebox to provide it with all of the steam needed to haul its heavy loads! The engine is traveling through a lovely field with a small bubbling brook on the left side of the tracks and a field with a couple trees on the right side. The tender in the back of the train has an area to store water and a section as well that can hold all of the coal that the fireman would need.
