Vintage Transportation: Polynesian Voyaging Canoe Hōkūleʻa
The Hōkūle‘a (Hawaiian, Star of Joy) is a modern reconstruction of the ancient Polynesian voyaging canoes that were used to traverse the Pacific using way finding, a traditional navigation method that was lost in Hawai‘i, but preserved in Micronesia.
