U2 Rooftop Concert ("Where the Streets Have No Name" Music Video - 3/27/1987)

In 1987, I was 16 years old and just beginning to explore alternative rock. When this rooftop concert was recorded in March 1987 and the video was released on MTV, it drew my interest to the band and I have been listening to U2 ever since.

I had my 2 sons gather up all of our Lego bricks,, which are mostly black and dark gray, and determined I couldn’t do a large build, so I tried to condense the scene to the front corner of the building.

The building and rooftop scene is about 700 pieces, because I had to use a lot of smaller pieces to compensate for not having a wide assortment of Lego City bricks. I think this build has appeal for both U2 fans and Lego builders.

If you watch the video, you'll see the details I captured, including, stoplights, angled awning, the signs, rooftop layout, the fans, the unique angular speakers, etc.

Some custom bricks and figures would make this set awesome!

Road Scene used Lego sets 76895, 60304, 60150, and Desk Business Card Holder(letters)..
