Bricks & Dragons - A Modular Dungeon System
Hey there,
Happy to see D&D coming to LEGO!
For some time I was already working on a modular LEGO dungeon system. This is what I am trying to achieve:
- connectable floor tiles and wall modules
- easy to plug together and easy to detach, so dungeons can be transformed on the fly
- small amount of parts for each module, to allow bigger dungeons on a smaller budget
- spare use of accessories, to minimize the chance of parts coming loose
- following the standard grid size for battle maps (3 + 1/2 studs, roughly ~ 28 mm)
The system is based on custom 8x8 flat tiles with studs in the corners, which can be printed with various dungeon tile patterns. But it is also possible to use regular flat tiles on an 8x8 plate instead.
Wall modules can be put between connecting pillars, which then hold the base plates together. Thanks to the new 1/2 technic pins with friction ridges, the walls are quite sturdy.
That is my submission for LEGO D&D, thanks for checking it out and GL to everyone!
