The Great Wave off Kanagawa
While "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is one of the most famous of the ukiyo-e Japanese style prints, few have heard of the story behind it. Now it's your chance to recreate the scene of this magnificent offshore tumult in stunning 3D play, with shimmering Mt. Fuji providing the perfect backdrop for your own adventure.
The print that provides the basis for this concept was created by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). It, and the others that make up the "Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji" collection (c. 1830-1832), are often studied as prime examples of the unique printing style common in Edo Japan.
