Newton's YoYo

You've probably seen or played with a version of this classic toy. Now see a working LEGO version! Newton's YoYo is fun to play with and demonstrates some important physics concepts. Do you see how the moving ball stops and replaces the ball that was hit? This is an example of both the conservation of energy and the conservation of momentum. Collisions that conserve both energy and momentum are called elastic collisions.
