The Impossible Triangle
The Impossible Triangle, it never ceases to amaze me. The more I stare it, the more impossible it becomes!
This model is filled with illusion, the most obvious being the triangle itself. But it goes beyond that. Despite their appearances, the sides of the triangle all have different lengths! Plus, the stand holding up the triangle isn't centered, but shifted towards the longest side to help support that side's extra weight and balance the model.
The total piece count is 166, with the triangle comprised of 133 and the support stand 33. It measures (with stand) 29.3 studs tall, 24.4 studs wide, and 32.5 studs long. The triangle attaches to the display stand by sliding the two extensions on the stand into two holes on the back of the triangle. I designed and rendered the model in Studio and composed the photos on Pixlr.com. The entire model can be built in real, physical pieces.
Thank you for reading! As the title of this contest says, enjoy!
