VEHICLE: The Scouting Crawler
When dealing with spatial exploration, one detail often overlooked is the impact of gravity. Celestial bodies with a much weaker than gravity than Earth would be the perfect places to use more outlandish designs.
This crawler's many clawed feet each include articulated drills to better footholds when climbing. Its relatively thin legs compared to the rest of its body stay strong thanks to its low-gravity environement.
It also features a spinning cockpit equipped with lights and a small arm to secure containers. From behind blue glass, the pilot can enjoy the view from their comfy seat.
Alongside the four legs of the main body and the additional pair of the container it can equip, the crawler also features six arms. Four end in precise pincers to manipulate delicate samples while the last two end in digging claws.
While a single container is present here, more can easily be added to form a long chain capable of traversing the harshest alien mountains and canyons.
