Base: Forgotten Blacktron Outpost

The year is 2087, and a team of astronauts has been dispatched to travel the cosmos in search of resources. One astronaut arrives at an asteroid field and wanders around. Just when he is ready to give up, he finds the remains of an old base inside a cave. "Hmm, it seems like Blacktron used to be here". The astronaut looks around and gathers some 100 year old artifacts to bring back to his home planet. As he reaches the end of the cave, he finds something truly disturbing: a Blacktron II spaceman, still alive, in a containment chamber. It seems like some alien life has taken over, and mutated the Blacktron spaceman. In order to contain the spread of the mutation, the spaceman's fellow teammates evacuated the base and abandoned the asteroid.

I think this was a very interesting build that inspired an interesting story. Using exactly 250 pieces, I was able to create a few interesting set pieces for an almost flat gray baseplate. I built and rendered this in Stud.io. Thanks for reading!
