Silver Comet

My exposure to the Classic Space theme came to me via my brother. His slightly older Castle, Space, and Pirates sets were a staple in my early Lego adventures. Many of those sets were in pieces by the time I was playing with them, so it was hard to pinpoint an exact set to serve as inspiration. However, I settled on the Cosmic Comet to update to be a little more modern, while trying to keep those Classic Space aesthetics. Along with the ship, I have included a little side build with energy storage, a helpful repair robot, and a extra air tank for the pilot.

Being a history nerd too, I always felt there was a missing color from the spaceman lineup, that being silver. I thought I would try to incorporate some of that metallic silver color into the set instead of gray, and give the spaceman that early space race shiny spacesuit look.
