Shipwreck Island
Although I had many LEGO sets as a kid, one of them that still remains put together to this day in my collection is the classic LEGO Pirate Shipwreck Island (set 6260 from 1989). It featured two pirates defending their treasure chest at their small lookout. They also had the company of their monkey. Now, all these years later, we get to revisit Shipwreck Island through this updated version. The pirates have kept their original structure basically the same, although they have apparently done well finding more treasure. They have gathered enough riches to add a second level and a second canon to their structure. Also, the tree that was originally on the island was replaced with a new one, and a second tree was planted on the side. Their faithful monkey is still by their side, although his fur has turned from brown to gray. These pirates might be on a small island, but they seem to be doing pretty well for themselves after all these years.
