The Castaway
One of my favourite LEGO themes as a child was Pirates, so I've created a fun recreation of my very first Pirates set, 6257: Castaway's Raft.
Although the set itself is simple, I always enjoyed playing with it. I would often create stories in which pirates had escaped capture by the Imperials or even stolen treasure from their captain. In the scene I have made, one such pirate thinks he has managed to get away with his booty and the captain's treasure map, so he decides to relax and read his favourite book, Moby Brick (from the modular Bookshop set). Unfortunately, the pirate has fallen asleep and drifted into shark-infested waters!
I'm really happy with the fun little story I have designed, and the underwater world beneath the raft adds a lot to the raft itself.
