Sea Serpent Sails Again

Growing up in my brother's Lego shadow, I got involved at a relatively young age, and the Sea Serpent from the Castle theme was one of my very first sets. Ironically I recently repatriated that very set from the childhood Lego bin at my brothers house, and enjoyed seeing the now wrinkled sail grace the surprisingly efficient build yet again. I remember playing with this set and figures for hours, imagining it to be a Viking ship going on a raid.

I did my best to translate that set into some more modern build techniques, and modern pieces, without losing too many of those classic 90's castle aesthetics. I beefed up the headpiece, taking inspiration from some other castle sets. I also added a scorpion to the back, showing off the potential of the new bow piece.

So please join me in returning this classic to the sea.
