Scene: Gandalf, Pippin and the Steward of Gondor
Gandalf and Pippin approach the empty throne of Gondor and find Denethor holding the Horn of Gondor which was once held by his beloved son Boromir.
This scene in the Return of the King introduces the audience to Boromir and Faramir's father Denethor. I very much enjoy the scenes with Denethor in the film (even though his potrayal differs greatly from the book) and he is a character who never recieved a minifigure in the Lord of the Rings theme. Since I had made a figure for him out of existing parts I decided to do a scene that featured him and though it would be fun to make the throne room.
The model is designed to be to scale with the minifigures and I attempted every detail I could. Though the tree of Gondor engraved in the wall behind the throne was a challenging I am happy with the result. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of this scene.
