SCENE: The Balrog of Moria

This is a model of the Balrog of Moria, also called Durin's Bane, as it stands against Gandalf the Grey.

This demon from the ancient world, a creature of both flame and shadow, will not be allowed to pass.

I've built this for the Challenge: Exploring the world of Middle-Earth.

This would make a great set because it portrays one of the most epic scenes in the trilogy. This set includes part of the Bridge of Khazad-Dûm, a pillar from the Second Hall and a small cave where Gollum awaits his time.

I've used a mix of grey and sand blue for the scenery. The Balrog is compromised out of a combination of black, dark brown and yellow to emphasise the heat coming from its fiery breath.
