Scene: Treebeard Meets the Hobbits

The scene depicts the moment when an Ent named Treebeard meets Hobbits, in the Fangorn forest. The Ent almost takes the Hobbits for an orcs.

I made this model because I always liked this moment in the book and wanted to show my depiction of the Treebeard character. I wanted the figure to be quite dynamic, which is emphasized by the large leaf-beard swinging as he walks. A big challenge was to get the texture of the figure to resemble bark. In additional, the Ent figure can be positioned at will.

I think the scene showing Ent's meeting with the Hobbits would be a great LEGO set, as it is one of the most interesting scenes from the book and also becouse I love building fantastic characters with LEGO.
