3D Chess
What is
more epic than tiny battles fought by … Lego chess pieces? Now, play! Not on a
normal 8x8 board, but on this slightly enlarged 64x64. Even better, the board
extends in 3 dimensions, so not any legal move is also possible (minifigs can’t
climb a wall and shouldn’t fall down). Therefore, the game requires incredible planning
as the little battles interfere with each other.
Additional
rules:
- 64x64
squares (above/below objects), climbing ladders/opening the secret door are single
moves, minifigs start in castle (arbitrarily arranged)
- Pawn: moves
1 stud in height, captures if the opponent’s minifig is on similar level
- Knight: 3
studs
- Bishop: 2
studs, knows spells to curse adjacent minifigs, they can’t move
- Rook: 2
studs
- Queen: 2
studs, secret weapon: the baby! Can sit down the baby after move, he remains there,
crying loudly, no minifig can be on an adjacent square nor pass it. If the
queen comes, the baby moves to her. It can’t be captured
- King: 2
studs
The model consists
of 10832 pieces.
