Musical: The Sweet Sound of Blossom
It's the whistle in the wind, the song of the birds and the distant rustling of the trees; the sweet sound of blossom.
Our word for music originates from the Greek writings of the Nine Muses. The term Music is derived from the Mousike, 'art of the Muses'. Adored deities of beauty, memory and charm, they were long believed to dance in the woodlands. Each one representing their own domain, I've reimagined the Muse of song – Euterpe. With every blow of her flute, pluck of her harp and note on her piano, another flower blossoms. For my entry in the music category, I was inspired by these myths and wanted to use a variety of green and turquoise shades to create a vibrant tone. The model measures 27x27cm, 34x34 studs, in a perfect circle. I hope you like model, I had a fantastic time making in over the last few days!
