Minifigure: Richard Trevithick's Steam Locomotive (Pen-Y-Darren)
Kevin is 8 years old and got a model train as a present a year ago. In the meantime, he has become a real railroad fan and wants to learn more about the history of railroads.
Today he is with his mother in an exhibition and marvels at the Richard Trevithick's steam locomotive (Pen-y-Darren).
The Pen-y-Darren of 1804 is practically the first locomotive ever (and yet it is only the second). An almost identical locomotive already existed in 1802, but it broke down before it could even run for the first time; this one was called Coalbrookdale.
Unlike today's railroad, the wheels had no flange and ran along the outside of the track.
Kevin has learned a lot and wants to share his knowledge with you. His dad, the Brick Jougleur, recreated the scene with Lego bricks.
