1950's Rocket Ship

The Model

A retrofuturistic rocket ship blasts off from an exotic planet! The ship energetically launches skyward, leaving a stylized plume of fire and smoke in its wake.

The Build

Per the contest rules, the base is exactly 16 studs wide, with the smoke trails overhanging. It’s about 16 inches tall from base to the tip of the needle and is around 300 pieces. The tapered fuselage was accomplished using sloped parts combined with rigid hoses.
