Mars Exploration
Mars Exploration
In the hopes of humanity one day landing on Mars, it will allow for much research to be done on the planet itself.
Inspired by this, I've built a set featuring a robotic research vehicle acompanying an astronaut.
The idea was to build a self controlled robot armed with a variety of equipment for mapping the landscape, searching and collecting samples, all while being able to traverse any form of terrain with its 4 independent wheels.
It can also store 2 additional containers for larger samples collected by the Astronaut.
The Astronaut receives information from the robot and uses it to find the most interesting locations, where they then place beacons.
The set itself features:
- An Astronaut, equipped with a backpack and a beacon to place at locations of interest.
- An "Automated Research Vehicle". Equipped with adjustable wheels, camera head, drilling arm, and storage for sample containers.
- Martian rocks, including a segment of ancient ice.
Consists of 242 pieces.
- Ragaru
