The First Boy on the Moon

Why dream of what it would be like to be the first boy on the moon when you can build your own Lunar Lander and Lunar Roving Vehicle from parts found around the house and garden! Rocket Boy has done just that and has embraced his moon adventure accompanied by his loving dog Gruff.

I love creating space builds and it was really tempting to reach for the Benny minifigure, but I managed to resist on this occasion. I wanted to create a build a little different to my usual style and I worked on this idea with input from my three children.

The Lunar Lander detaches from the moon surface providing playability; the Rover is also fully functional.

Model is built on a 16 x 16 stud LEGO baseplate and consists of ~265 pieces.
