Reading Getaway
Whenever I get a chance to escape the hubbub of my daily life and stay somewhere close to nature, I put down my phone, close my laptop, and open a book. It's the perfect pastime -- peaceful, yet stimulating; absorbing, but without cutting me off from my surroundings. And there're always new books to discover. I've represented this passion with a tableau of books on a windowsill, overlooking a stunning vista. I employed forced perspective, which provided a great opportunity to get creative with part usage. For instance, I use doors as a bookmark, mudguards for a book spine, hair for tree tops, a crown for spray from a whale, and a mini-fig for... a mini-fig. There are also a few nods to different sets, such as the A-Frame Cabin, the Volkswagen T1 Camper Van, and the Tree House.
