The Project

Dear Diary,

Every weekend, I look forward to working on "The Project" with my three best friends and cat - Mittens. It's a shed restoration near our A-Frame holiday home by the lake in the forest. The work is tough, but we're all up for the challenge. We learn new skills, and it's satisfying to see our progress. But more than that, working on the project makes me feel alive.

It's an escape from the city and a chance to appreciate the simple things in life. We catch fish and cook them over the fireplace, relax in our own hot-tub on the pier, and play guitar as we watch the sunset over the lake. These moments remind me of what truly matters - spending time with the people I love and doing something that brings us all together.

"The Project" is more than just a restoration project. It's an adventure, a time-out, and a chance to appreciate the journey as much as the destination. I'm grateful for this experience, and I can't wait for the next weekend to come.
