This is a 28 cylinder radial aircraft engine simulation, made with see-through end caps to watch the internal mechanism i.e. crankshaft, connecting rods, and pistons while in motion. This model is motorized showing all 28 pistons functioning as would the actual engine in each row of seven cylinders, alternately.
I worked on this project over several months to calculate dimensions needed to mount each cylinder equally spaced and in position to accommodate the inner workings i.e. master connecting rod/disk and pins.
I believe that the mechanically inclined would like this model, basically to show-off as a unique, and conversational item.
