The Nakagin Capsule Tower Building was an architectural icon of Tokyo. The recently demolished building was boundary breaking in terms of both concept and visualisation. The set idea, based on the building, features the iconic tower with the 140 detachable capsules. There is also one capsule with an interior featered, as well as a truck to transport the capsules.
As an architecture lover, the Nakagin Capsule Tower is one of my favorite buildings. For this reason, I decided to recreate the structure into LEGO form resulting in this set idea.
The LEGO Nakagin Capsule Tower is both a display piece as well as an interactive set. This is why I believe that it would make a great lego set: fans can display it on shelves or play with it. The adaptive nature of the capsules also perfectly translates into LEGO form, further contributing to the fact that this should become a LEGO set!
