Jules Verne: Robur The Conqueror's Albatross
From the brilliant mind of Jules Verne came yet another wonderful prediction of the future of technology and mankind. Published in 1886, the novel Robur The Conqueror tells the story of the brilliant inventor Robur and his enterprises aboard The Albatross, described as a technological wonder built to prove that heavier-than-air aircraft would soon rule the skies and supersseed balloons and dirigibles.
This 384-brick build, resorting only to legal building techniques, is my interpretation of a retro-futurist aircraft, based in part on the original illustrations by Léon Benett that accompanied the book.
