San Francisco Cable Car

The cable car is a unique iconic landmark that is part of the history of San Francisco. What would San Francisco be like without the classic cable car? Even though the cable car has been operating for decades, it's still a popular means of transport for the locals as well as the tourists.

The cable cars run on multiple lines such as the Powell and Hyde, Powell and Mason and California Street lines to destinations such as Fisherman's Wharf, Market and Downtown.

My model consists of 411 bricks and has a driver (gripman), a conductor and 5 passengers. During construction of my model I have included certain details from the real thing into my model:

•The grip lever

•The step for passengers to climb aboard.

•The poles for passengers to hold on to.

•The coupling point for cable cars to couple together to form a train.

•The grip point which grips the cable underneath the car floor.

I certainly hope I have recreated a replica that is very close to the original design.

If you like this cable car, please support my other projects.
