Elf the Movie - North Pole!

Here we go with yet another update! Lets have a look at the outside of Elf the Movie North Pole and all the updated features!

Here is the new and improved outside!

As you can see from the photo above there have been some big changes to the outside look!

There are new big windows across all walls and details looking into all rooms.

Added details onto the mailbox and scale height reduced to match minifig scale better and the built up snow has a more higher curved smoother look and feel.

Leon the Snowman has a new rounder smooth body and the roof areas have now got thicker snow.

There is added lanterns and icicles around the roof edge and lanterns added to either side left and right.

The tiles for the wood have been changed to a lighter brown from dark brown, which gives great contrast against the dark brown behind and gives the building a much better look.

Santa's sleigh has had a slight modification with smoother side edges with no more blocky feel and the base has been changed to a 2 plate system with snow either side of the sleigh giving the effect it is resting in the snow.

I hope you like all of the updates above that I have done and will now be working on getting the main page details and image updated!

Hello Everyone! Here is one of the updates I know you have all been wating to see - the upgrades and changes to the Santa's workshop area!

As you can see there are quite a few changes to the area, one of the biggest changes has been scale, which before was off scale and now all have been adjusted to the correct sizes for minifig heights. and the addition of the 2 new big windows with pattens to match the ones in the movie. There are also lanterns on all of the walls and featured areas of the room.

There is a new updated toy testing area with lantern and sign above the area.

The main table in the room has been lowered and the table legs changed to match the film style, all chairs have been lowered also with the addition of 2 glass bowls on the table and all chairs have snowflake details on the inside and outside.

Santa has his own chair at the back of the workshop to oversee all of the work that is being done

Behind the toy toy testing area there are loads of new features such as; a drinks and food station with bottles, cups and candy canes by a drinks dispenser, a container full of stored finished toys and a container with rolls of wrapping paper and scissors. There is also a newer version of the wheelbarrow at the back of the table area and there is also a hockey stick in the corner as a nod to one of the deleted scenes from the movie.

The big cabinet in the corner of the room has a has a big upgrade also from the old design on the left to the design on the right which matches more of the look from the movie.

There is a container full of baseball bats on the left side which they had in the movie also and a bucket placed at the side.

With all the new upgrades across all the rooms combined, you can see there is a huge difference to the overall set!.

I did have chance to talk so Richard Side who played the teacher elf in the movie who said:

"That is an amazing design! And, yes I went to the Lego Ideas page and signed the support petition. Best of luck with your design. It is a real thrill to see my character as a Lego figure."

Hello Everyone! Originally, I was going to save any building updates until I hit certain supporter milestones, but instead I have decided to share them all sooner as I think they improve the set a lot more and will bring in more supporters!

There are new and improved window designs to match the ones in the film and window details above. The internal floor colour has been changed to a different colour, so separates it from the Snow outside.

The beam on the left of the room has been removed to allow more details and features to be added and shown.

There are 2 new and improved 'learn how to build toys' table area at the back of the room and side of the room with signs on the wall above each station (Bicycle Assembly, Model Train Engineering, and Doll Painting). There are bike and train parts on the table at the back of the room and a paintbrush and palette with a blank doll figure ready to paint.

There are 2 lanterns on either end of the room walls, a cuckoo clock above the door and a book and paper bag for lunch on the floor next to both desks.

Students now have pens and papers on the desk with the quote "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear" written on it and an apple on the desks also.

I hope you like the improvements made to this area of the set and there are more upgrades to follow soon with the Santa's Workshop area renders almost complete to share with you all!

Over the last few weeks the elves have been busy working on Santa's Workshop at the North Pole and have been upgrading and updating various things that will be revealed over the next few milestones...

This starts with this milestone for 1000 supporters where the elves have started the renovations and upgrades in the living room area so its out with the old and in with the new!

A you can see from below the living room area has had a design upgrade with loads of new features compared to the old previous one...

As you can see I have gone back to my previous window designs based on the ones from the Movie as the black windows I tried although did have a good effect made the set look darker. These new windows are even bigger/taller than the previous ones allowing more visibility and with the window pattern and added blue transparent windows gives a great effect!

All wall tiles are now vertical in the living room area instead of horizontal to match the living room in the film.

Above the windows there are now detailed tiles framing the top of the window again to match the windows in the Movie.

There are new and improved patterned tiles on the wall either side of the fireplace and surrounding walls.

There is a new added curved arched beam at the top of the room going from left to right to match the beams in the Movie.

Before the base across the whole area was just white anow now the internal area of Santa's workshop has had all the floors changed to be a separate colour.

As you can see below from the old to the new the elves have been busy upgrading previous furniture

around the living room! from this old cabinet unit on the left to the new improved version on the right with extra details and even bowl effect shelves inside through the glass

With new additions like this small console table with bottles underneath and Buddy's parents photo and the snowglobe on top fancy detailed sides and back, and the Updated tall draws cabinet set with more details on the front and side.

There is a new cabinet with 4 windows also again with details added to the front

There is a Gramophone behind the new sofas also to match the one in the Movie

There is the addition of a crib that can be used for Baby Buddy or baby Susie

The fire has had an upgrade with the old Dark brown logs gone and replaced with new cut logs and a fire effect flame inside the fire now also. There is also reading lamp next to the fireplace.

There is a new small table for the book to be placed next to the fireplace and chairs

And best of all all new upgraded sofas and chairs!

With all of these new upgrades been done there have been changes to the colour scheme I must have done 30 renders testing out various combination's and feel the new design and look works well indeed keeping the colour scheme from the Movie.

For every supporter milestone we hit from now, you will begin to see the below presents open. Inside these presents will be upgrades, new renders of the details of the set, new additions and features and more!

With the next milestone of 500 supporters getting ever closer I can not wait to share what the first things will be!

Hello everyone! its great to be back with my new and improved version of Elf the movie - North Pole. It has been a crazy few months waiting for the results of the huge 71 review and like many Elf fans all over the world we were devastated that Elf was not selected.

A huge part of me bringing this set back, new and improved, is the amount of messages that I received from people wishing it been selected and wanting me to put it straight back on to go for the 10k again.

As you can see below there is a much better finish to the set compared to the previous submission with it actually feeling like a single build with a few extras rather than loads of random extras just dotted around the outside. One of my favourite new additions is the frozen lake that Mr Narwhal is crashing through to say hello to everyone.

I tried to keep the interior details to the same high standard as before allowing plenty of playability and access with the new 3 area system including the pitched main central workshop roof and window. By doing this, this has also reduced the piece count by a good 300 compared to before which is great for cost and also gives me room for a few upgrades if needed.

Where are all the extra minifigs that were listed before?

You may notice that a few characters have disappeared. This was mainly due to LEGO wanting an equal build to Minifig ratio and not overcrowding the sets with loads of Minifigs and I think that is important, I still have all of the original designs for all of the characters below (Emily Hobbs, Miles Finch, Eugene, Morris) in case they ever want to add them to the set!

I am going to get a load of new renders, a few animations and things showing more details around the set done to celebrate each goal from here so our next target is the 1000 supporter milestone!
