Mount Olympus - A Mythological Adventure

Greek Mythology has been one of the most popular and most influential body of myths and teachings to ever exist. Its history and tales stretch back hundreds and thousands of years, with rich entertainment value and masses of adaptations over time.

This project is based on Mount Olympus, the dwelling of the Olympian Gods and the highest mountain in Greece. It was created after the Olympians' victory over the Titans. Reaching into the heavens, Mount Olympus was a paradise where the gods could oversee all and come down to interfere with mortal affairs if necessary. The Nine Muses lived at the foot of the mountain as well.

Despite twelve gods residing at Mount Olympus, this set includes the four most popular, in addition to Pegasus the winged horse:

  • Zeus, the chief god and controller of the skies
  • Hera, the goddess of women, marriage, and families, wife of Zeus
  • Poseidon, the god of the oceans, who spent most of his time in the water
  • Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare

Three rooms are depicted. They have hinges allowing a variety of possible display scenes, and each roof is removable for greater access:

  • Zeus' Throne Room
  • Main staircase and Pantheon
  • Altar Room
