The Lego City Bridge was designed to span 64 studs, or 2 road tiles. This bridge connects traffic from 2 opposing road plates with up to an 8 stud width per lane. There is a 2 stud curb on either side of the bridge. Abutments are included and are approximately 2 x 6 studs wide at each corner of the bridge. The bridge is self supporting and is engineered to hold substantial load.
This idea came about when trying to span a gap between 2 road plates.
