I was inspired by a recent visit to HMS Victory and the Mary Rose both housed at the historic dockyards in Portsmouth, UK. I began 'building' a model which importantly I wanted to portray a sense of depth from the surface vessel. The best way I could think of doing this was by providing the diving dinghy with a transparent blue plinth to represent the surface of the sea. The wreck itself has its colours based on HMS Victory. The model is complete with a cannon and ancient 'artefacts'; the bow of the wreck and the stern section can be rotated to suit.
