A model of the iconic Land Rover 110.
The Land Rover Defender is a long standing 4x4 and has been very succesfull in a lot of different roles all around the world. The Defender production started in the early 80's following the successful Land Rover Series I, II and III. It is a shame that the production of these cars is very likely to be stopped by Land Rover soon. Because of it's status, the Defender certainly deserves a tribute in the form of a LEGO product.
This model is very basic and easy to build. It includes an option to make it fully remote controlled. Furthermore builders can convert it to the shorter Defender 90. Furthermore this version can serve as a basic model, it can be turned into different version, eg. fire brigade, military, towing truck, coastguard, you name it..
