We're off to see the Wizard!
The Wizard of Oz (1939) is the most iconic film of all time, and it deserves a LEGO set!
This submission depicts the key aspects of the movie in a compact and fun display. Start Dorothy's journey over the rainbow with Munchkinland, complete with Dorothy's house landing on the Wicked Witch of the East. Follow the Yellow Brick Road to find the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion in their habitats, and wind up in the poppy field in front of the grand Emerald City. Behind the Emerald City is the hall with the Wizard, who hides behind a curtain with gifts for Dorothy's new friends. To the right of the build is the Wicked Witch of the West's castle, with a play feature - pull out the floor to make her melt!
This build contains 1,160 parts, all made from the existing color palette. There are 7 minifigures - Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Glinda, a Munchkin, and the Wizard of Oz. And Toto too!
