This is a Lego version of Roy Lichtenstein's "Girl With Ball" It's a fairly famous piece of pop art painted in 1961 (See original here http://www.moma.org/collection/object.php?object_id=79665). When Looking at Lego's products and the products posted on this site, I noticed architecture as a theme but but rarely is another art form like painting represented. I choose Lichtenstein and this artwork in particular because of the broad planes of color it has which are easily recreated in Lego form. I also personally like the subversion of images with Lego bricks of art pop artists created to subverted already established images.
