1933, the year king kong first appeared climbing up the empire state building. The black and white images, although to today's standards, weren't amazing but at the time, this film was the start of what film studios can do nowadays.
This is the first 3D lego character ive made. It took a very long time making it look as lifelike as i could. Numerous failed attempts nearly put pay to my idea but i finally came up with a design i was happy with.
I love the gray colours that lego produce to be able to make a scene like this. Steam boat mickey worked so well in black and white colours and I think this set would appeal to the adult fans out there.
