Product Idea

Horse Mill

A Horse Mill uses a horse, or a donkey, as its power source, often to grind grains or pump water. Horse Mills were used in ancient China and Rome more than 2,000 years ago, and have been used in places as far apart as Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. Mills powered by electric or combustion engines have become quite popular and widespread but in some places horse mills are still in use today.

This project features a rotary mill powered by one horse, with a farmer in attendance to add the crop to be milled and to remove the milled product. A basin for harvested crops, a barrel for the milled product, and a bucket for the waste by-product are included.

There are 46 bricks in this project.
