Hi everyone, my name is Luca, i’m italian and i’ve always been passionate about the lego world. Today i will accompany you to learn the story behind the “Margherita Hut”. We will discover together where my idea came from.
Are you ready? Let's go!
Being a big fan of Mountains, i decided to design a Margherita Hut.
Come and explore it.
The Margherita Hut (Italian: Capanna Regina Margherita) is a mountain hut belonging to the Italian Alpine Club, located on the summit of Punta Gnifetti (Signalkuppe) of Monte Rosa, a mountain massif of the Alps lying near the border between Italy and Switzerland. At 4,554 metres (14,941 ft) above sea level, it is the highest building in Europe. It was originally opened in 1893 as a research station for high altitude medicine which it still is, but also serves as a simply equipped mountain hut for alpinists.
- About the set
The building develops on a mountain ridge, on the ground floor there is a room where it is possible to eat and drink something after the tiring climb. On the upper floors there are several bedrooms where you can spend the night.
it is possible to remove the various floors to increase the gaming experience and be able to see all the details.
There are various custom printed tiles and various easter eggs.
- Details and Dimensions
The set Is made up of 2814 pieces and there are 14 minifigures.
W:23 cm L:44 cm H:29 cm
- Reasons why it could become a great set
It is extremely rich in detail, each time you look at it you can always discover new things. It is suitable both for adults to display it wherever they like, and for children given the extreme playability. There are also many interesting construction techniques, for sure you will love to build it!
- Thank you
If you like The Margherita Hut please support it, share it with your friends and feel free to leave a comment. Hopefully we can turn the Margherita hut into an actual LEGO Ideas set. Thank you all and wish you a good day.
