This is a model of the old ferry that I used as a child to get to the other side of the River Rhine. I knew the captain and I loved just to go to the other side and have a slice of pizza in the restaurant there and then drive back. It seemed so far away even it were just a about 250 meters from my home. This is the Name of the new ferry operating today, but I'm pretty sure the old one had the same name.
Here you can see the ferry, a tractor with bales of straw and the landing pier as I remember it from my hometown.
