Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program is one of the best computer games of all time. It is educational, fun and creative in a way that only LEGO can compete with. This is why there is so much crossover between fans of KSP and fans of LEGO.

Now with KSP2 on the horizon, I think this is a perfect time to start a LEGO Ideas project that could potentially be realized close to the launch time of KSP2.

The main problem I had with this design was choosing what to actually put in to it, KSP has infinite possibilities, but I wanted to make it recognizable as Kerbal to everyone. I decided on a central rocket launch with other iconic KSP references hidden around the model. These include the V.A.B, (hidden underneath the rear of the launch pad), the control room to the left and the classic failed Mun lander from the menu screen over on the right. I also scattered other elements from the game around the model to try and give a feeling of rich detail. Look around the photos, and you should see many little bits you recognize from the game.

The custom decals are not perfect, but I think they give a good indicator of how I want the final model to look and feel, and there is always opportunity for updates to the project!

So, thank you for looking and as always I look forward to your comments and suggestions!
