"I heard the bells on Christmas day, their old familiar carols play, and wild and sweet their words repeat of peace on earth good will to men."
This build is inspired by and based off of the 2022 movie, I Heard the Bells, by Sight & Sound Films.
This is a build of the study of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, in which he writes the poem/song I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.
"And in despair I bowed my head, there is no peace on earth, I said."
The build includes two minifigures. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and his son Charles Longfellow in Civil War uniform.
"Pa, you are that Bell and you are not done ringing"
The movie takes place in the American Civil War. Charles Longfellow enlists, causing strife in the family after their mother died. Henry vows he will never write again. When his son Charles gets shot. Henry is told by his son that he needs to write again. So, he goes down to his study to try to begin writing again and that is where and what this build is about.
I built it because I really liked this movie and the story behind the poem.
His study has his desk, bookcase, letter from his wife, statue, candles and paper all over the place.
Approximately 200 bricks.
