Project Tempest

Project Tempest is a motorized single-seater LEGO race car, built entirely from scratch to capture the spirit of high-performance motorsport. While inspired by the aerodynamics of modern Formula 1 machines, its aggressive and original design sets it apart.

This model functions as both a sleek display piece and an interactive playset. It features:
Motorized driveshaft – adding dynamic motion that brings the car to life
Working DRS (Drag Reduction System) – a manually adjustable rear wing based on real racing technology.

The bold black-and-red color scheme gives it a striking presence. From the sharp front wing to the sculpted air intake, every detail enhances its realism and edge.

Despite housing a motor and battery box, the design remains compact and clean — with the power switch neatly hidden to preserve the car’s silhouette.

The name "Tempest" refers to a violent, windy storm — a metaphor for the car’s speed, agility, and aerodynamic finesse.

As a fan of lego and racing I couldn't resist to make a car that managed to combine both worlds.
This build has gone through months of iteration and refinement to reach its final form.

Project Tempest is one of the most compact motorized race cars ever built in LEGO form. It’s a fusion of performance, engineering, and style — designed for display, play, and pure imagination.
If you're a fan of racing, LEGO Technic, Speed Champions, or just awesome LEGO builds — please support Project Tempest and help bring it to life!
