Forward Research Outpost

Discover the secrets of a new planet!

Based upon the short-lived 1990's Space theme Unitron, this Forward Research Outpost comes with all the tools you need to research and make discoveries. Piles of rocks and pools filled with a mysterious ooze surround the Outpost.

The two-level structure includes several callbacks to the original Unitron sets. Radar dishes and antenna are on the roof along with solar panels that provide power. The exterior is also defended by a pair of rotating laser turrets. Both can be operated by the minifigs. Large tinted windows provide more than enough views from all angles. There's also enough space underneath the Outpost for a small vehicle.

Inside the Outpost, the first level contains computers and all the things one needs for exploration including spare oxygen tanks, tools, and radios. The second level features beds and a science lab complete with a microscope, a handheld scanner, and informative data panels. Both minifigures wear updated versions of the Unitron suits.

This set takes the best elements of the Unitron line and brings them together. Let's continue to celebrate Space themes and make this set a reality!
