Lego Architecture: Lloyds of London
Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
In this project I hope to encapsulate Richard Rodger's iconic functionalist building.
Lloyds of London is landmark building within both London and the architectural world. Built between 1978 and 1986 at a cost of £75,000,000, the Lloyds Building has an innovative design that moves the staircases, pipes and conduits to the outside of the building to leave an uncluttered inside.
In my model have tried to use as many unspecialised pieces as possible to create a very Lego-y looking take on the famous structure. The only pieces I haven't used before are the screwdrivers that I have used to portray the cranes on top of the building.
